Dexcom G6 Sensor is part of the innovative Dexcom G6 CGM System. It works with the G6 Transmitter to continuously monitor glucose levels and communicate data wirelessly to a display device every five minutes. This slim and discreet sensor is inserted just beneath the skin in the abdominal or upper gluteus area using a simple auto-applicator. It's water-resistant and features an extended 10 day wear time for more convenience and fewer interruptions to daily routines.
Glucose thresholds are programmed into the CGM system by the user to prevent blood sugar highs and lows without the need for confirmatory finger sticks. The sensor and transmitter duo are compatible with both the Dexcom G6 GCM and the Tandem t:slim X3. The Dexcom G6 Sensor for Continuous Glucose Monitoring must be used with a transmitter from the same generation. Sensors come in a pack of three for a full month supply.
