The North American Rescue C-A-T is a versatile tourniquet, proven highly effective in blocking blood flow by the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research. The patented Combat Application Tourniquet features a reliable windlass system with a movable internal band that creates true circumferential pressure. When the CAT is sufficiently tightened, bleeding will stop, and the windlass locks into place and can be secured with the windlass retention strap.
