Description
Mepilex Border Flex is a 5-layer wound dressing with superior conformability. The bordered foam design and proprietary Flex technology ensure longer wear time and durability, which can minimize wound disturbance and, in turn, reduce cost and waste. Consider the shower-proof Border Lite for smaller wounds, such as on the hands and feet.
Mepilex Border Flex is designed for a wide range of exuding chronic and acute wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, traumatic wounds, skin tears, and burns. The dressing has a unique bacteria trapping function that traps exudate from the wound to prevent re-entry. This has been shown to outperform other bordered dressings by as much as 108% in fluid handling tests.
Is the Mepilex Border Flex Waterproof?
This dressing is both waterproof and bacteria proof. The Mepilex Border Flex does not need to be changed after showering. Its absorbent and waterproof properties allow for up to 7 days of wear.
