The Med Aire Alternating Pressure Pump and Pad System is a heavy gauge inflatable pad and pump set created to prevent and treat ulcers. The Med Aire pump consistently and quietly pumps four liters of air per minute over a five-minute cycle time, so patients are never left flat. This pad and pump system can be purchased with either a variable or constant pressure pump. The variable inflation option inflates and deflates the pad’s bubble air cells alternately, so there is never constant pressure in any one place. This feature makes pressure sores even less likely to occur and helps existing sores heal faster.
