Invacare MA80 microAIR True Low Air Loss Mattress with Pulsation

The INVACARE MA80 MICROAIR TRUE LOW AIR LOSS MATTRESS WITH PULSATION is made to replace a hospital mattress and is excellent for patients that spend extended periods on bed rest. The MA80 inflates in about a minute thanks to the quiet 1275 LPM blower. Constant air circulation helps control moisture and alleviates uncomfortable hotspots and pressure points. Preventing the accumulation of moisture and eliminating pressure points is critical to avoid maceration and the development or aggravation of pressure ulcers. The pulse setting allows you chose intervals of 1, 3, 5 or 10 minutes. In pulse mode, the mattress will inflate to the selected comfort setting and then decrease pressure by 20%. Select pulse intervals with the alternating pressure button. While in pulse mode the even-numbered air cushions will deflate while the odd-numbered air cushions remain inflated, at the selected interval the air cushions will exchange and the even-numbered cushions will inflate and the odd-numbered will deflate, adding to the therapeutic benefit of the MA80.

The MA80 features a wireless auto fowler, which automatically increases air pressure by 25 percent when the bed articulates to 45 degrees, which prevents the patient from bottoming out. Air pressure is calibrated specifically to the patient based on their weight, and constant pressure monitoring automatically redistributes air to relieve pressure points. The lock-out button will prevent tampering or accidental adjustment of your preferred settings. The cover is quilted, dual layer, anti-microbial, fluid-proof, vapor permeable denier nylon, a low-friction material to ease movement and transfer.
