Invacare G5510 G-Series Full Electric Hospital Bed

The Invacare G-Series Full Electric Bed is a medical bed with a steel frame. It allows height and mattress movement through an electronic controller. This series of beds meets the latest standard of hospital bed safety the IEC 606601-2-52 certifications. This ensures that users are safe and do not need to worry about broken bed parts or bed rail entrapment.

This innovative bed can be used by patients who need long term care and can also be used for at home care. This bed is unique because it has a supportive sleep surface which features a slat deck that the mattress rests on. The slat deck is easy to clean and is comfortable for the user to sleep on. It also designed to not put wear and tear on the mattress so the mattress will not get ruined from the slat deck.

To meet patient needs this bed comes with a variety of options and accessories such as bed rails, mattresses, trapeze bars and bed ends. The bed can hold a patient weight capacity of 350 pounds and has a weight capacity of 450 pounds to hold a variety of users. This bed comes with a 2 year limited warranty on electrical parts and a 5 year warranty with mechanical parts.

Mattress Options

There are 4 different mattress options for this electric bed. The bed frame is 36 inches wide and 88 inches in length so any mattress used with have to be smaller than the frame. The innerspring mattress has a weight capacity of 250 pounds and is made of 312 coils. This mattress reduces pressure on the user’s joints so they can sleep comfortably.

The next option of mattresses are foam mattresses. The three remaining options are the Economy Foam mattress, SoftForm Excel mattress and the SoftForm Premier mattress. The Economy Foam mattress has a weight capacity of 250 pounds and comes with a one year warranty.

Both of the SoftForm mattresses are designed to reduce the risk of pressure ulcers by even weight distribution throughout the mattress. The Excel mattress has a weight capacity of 450 pounds while the Premier mattress has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. These mattresses are ideal for users who are bedridden and spend most of their time in bed.

Bed Rail Options

There are two options for bed rails with this electrical bed: half-length rails and full-length rails. The half-length rail is perfect for users who would like safety from falling out of bed but still want the freedom of moving around. The full-length option is a great for patients who need full safety from falling out of bed. They come in pairs so there is one rail for each side. The rails lower so users can easily get out of bed. Both of the rail options are scratch resistant and come with a one year warranty. These rails are only compatible with the Invacare Full Electric G-Series beds.

Accessories

• Bed Sheet Set

This set comes with 3 pieces: a mattress sheet, a topsheet and a pillowcase. This helps to protect the mattress and pillow from spills while also protecting the user from the mattress. This product does not come with a warranty of any kind.

• Fixed Trapeze and Trapeze Bar

The fixed trapeze is a bedroom aid that helps patients get up out of bed. This product is placed at the end of the bed and is height adjustable by 6.5 Inches for user convenience. It features a soft grip handle making it easier for users to get out of bed by themselves.

The Trapeze Bar is a heavy duty grab bar designed for bariatric users who need to get in and out of bed. It features a larger base for added stability and can hold up to 650 pounds. This trapeze bar is a free standing bar and helps users be independence when moving around the bed.

• Bed Ends

The headboard and footboard are great options for users who are worried about moving vertically while in the bed. The bed ends weigh 60 pounds and have a molded panel appearance. These bed ends are 39 inches wide and have attached caster wheels at the bottom.

• Bedside Table

The bedside table is a great accessory for users who are not able to get up out of bed for long periods of time. This table can hold up to 25 pounds so users can put a variety of items on the table. It can be used for reading, games, eating and placing food on the table.

• Tilt Top Bedside Table

This bedside table is easy to move around because it has caster wheels at the bottom of the stand. The top of the table has a laminate walnut wood grain appearance which blends in easily to different settings whether at home or in a medical setting. This table can be tilted at 3 different angles to give users a wide variety of activities that they can enjoy.
