How to Open the Purified Water Packet

Preparing Cure Hydrophilic Catheters for use is convenient and simple. The catheter packaging contains the catheter itself as well as a sealed packet of purified water for lubrication. To lubricate the catheter, burst open the water packet while still inside the catheter package with the following steps:

• Bend catheter packaging over (see picture below), making sure to also bend the water packet (do not worry about damaging the catheter – it won’t break or kink, even when bent)
• While the water packet is folded over, apply pressure to it until it breaks open
• Allow the catheter to remain in the packet soaking in the water for 25 seconds
• Remove – the catheter is now ready for insertion
