ConvaMax Superabsorber by Convatech overview
ConvaMax stops exudate in its tracks and is ideal for wound care management. SuperAbsorber Dressing is better than your traditional gauze bandage because it collects and holds most leakage, even while under pressure. ConvaMax Superabsorber has 3 different layers, a protective layer, super-absorbent layer, and a conformable wicking layer that is ideal for wounds where excessive leakage is present. This bandage is available in an adhesive version and a non-adhesive version.
Our body naturally releases a liquid to damaged soft tissue areas. This is usually a concoction of puss, bacteria, and watery-plasma. Over-saturation from this bodily fluid can cause more soft tissue damage, so it is important to have a product that helps maintain sterile wound area. Before bandage application it is very important to cleanse the area of any biodebris, and to do that we recommend using McKesson Wound Cleanser .
The ConvaMax Difference
The non-adhesive version features three total layers and is ideal for deeper wounds that require a primary dressing. The comformable wicking layer paired with the super absorbent core are great at being used to treat sinus or tunneling wounds, where injuries may need to be packed with bandages. The Silicone Adhesive bandage is ideally made for smaller wounds where no additional dressing is required. The Silicone ConvaMax can also be used for friable per-wound skin and weeping oedema. These are just a few examples of how these products are used. ConvaMax SuperAbsorb bandage also has been modulated to absorb MMP’s and to encourage them to bind together. This helps the healing process and encourages tissue reproduction.
