Description

Clorox Healthcare Bleach Germicidal Cleaner

Clorox Healthcare Bleach Germicidal Cleaner is engineered as a ready-to-use (RTU) sporicidal cleaner-disinfectant system for healthcare facilities. Its delivery system is a spray bottle for quick and easy surface coverage, and it has an improved formulation for better surface compatibility without compromising its fast disinfection efficacy. Clorox Healthcare Germicidal Cleaner is designed to kill 50+ microorganisms in under 3 minutes — it also contains sodium hypochlorite and other ingredients to kill C. difficile spores. This advanced formula makes it the perfect asset in the battle against constantly evolving Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs). HAIs are very costly to treat and are avoidable when proper sanitization measures are taken. Clorox Healthcare Bleach Germicidal Cleaner is suited for use in medical facilities, dental facilities, veterinary practices, laboratory settings, and for general use.

Ready-to-Use Cleaning Products vs Dilutable Cleaning Products

Clorox Healthcare Germicidal Cleaner requires no dilution or preparation to make it ready to use. This is beneficial in healthcare settings because of the many hidden costs associated with using dilutable cleaning products.

  • Cross Contamination: Due to the relative inconsistency of towel saturation with dilutable cleaning products, the spread of pathogens, like C. difficle spores, is far more likely.
  • Compliance: A study on cleaning products in healthcare settings has shown that there is significantly higher compliance when ready-to-use products are used. Compliance issues with dilutable products were also observed, which lead to higher rates of C. difficile infection in U.S. hospitals.1
  • Quality Control: Dilutable cleaners require proper mixing and use to effectively disinfect hard surfaces, which leaves a lot of room for human error.
  • Compatibility: When working with liquid disinfectant, selecting a cloth or wipe material that is compatible with the disinfectant is paramount and leaves variability in the efficacy of the disinfectant.
  • Time: A 2015 study comparing RTUs to dilutables showed that hospital custodial workers spent an average of 42 minutes per shift mixing dilutable cleaning products2 — using RTU products instead resulted in a daily cost savings of $38.58 per employee.
