Description

Eakin Cohesive Seals, by ConvaTec, is an adhesive seal designed to prevent leaks and skin irritation from ostomy bags. Eakin seals are manufactured from a unique adhesive that is kept trade-secret by the manufacturers, making it the only brand of products made from this material. This adhesive formula is made from skin-friendly materials which means that there is little to no chance of allergic reactions. This material is not only gentle on the mucous membrane of the stoma, but also combats harmful enzymes that are found in outputs. Stoma seals typically leak because of watery outputs; poor seal achievement caused by skin folds, crevices, and scar tissue surrounding the stoma; and poorly fitting appliances. Eakin Seals overcome these problems by being moldable and flexible, ensuring the best seal possible for any individual. For an optimal fit, combine with Eakin Cohesive Paste. How to Apply

Before application, make sure to wash and dry skin surrounding the stoma carefully. Remove the Eakin Cohesive Seal from its package. Warm the ring in between both hands. Remove the product's paper backing and stretch the hole large enough to fit the stoma. Apply the ring to the skin and smooth, making sure to fill any gaps that may cause leakage. Be aware that the product will swell as it absorbs excess moisture, but this will not alter the product's intended effectiveness.
