Stomahesive Paste by ConvaTec

Stomahesive Paste by Convatec is a Hydrocolloid-based protective skin barrier for use in applying skin barriers/wafers. Stomahesive Paste is meant to be used in conjunction with products like AllKare adhesive removing wipes and AllKare protective barrier wipes as well as Eakin cohesive seals. This paste also acts as a filler for uneven skin around a stoma. Stomahesive works well with flush or retracted stomas. Using Stomahesive Paste will help create a protective barrier for the skin and can even help increase ostomy wear time.

Application to Seal

• Clean Skin and Let Dry
• Remove Release Paper from Seal
• Stretch Seal to Size of Stoma
• Apply Thin Ring to Inside Hole of Seal
• Allow Past to Sit for 1 Minute, Do Not Spread Paste
• Place seal on Body

Application to Skin

• Prepare Skin Barrier According to Instructions
• Apply Paste Directly onto Skin around Stoma
• Apply Enough Paste to Cover Any Exposed Skin Surrounding Stoma
• Apply Directly to Uneven Surfaces or Scars
• To Manipulate, Wet Finger to Prevent Sticking to Fingers
• Center Seal over Stoma
• Apply Gentle Pressure over Entier Seal to Ensure Propper Seal
• Pressure Will Distribute Paste Properly

Removal Instructions

• Gently Peel Barrier From Skin, Use Finger to Support Skin
• AllKare Adhesive Remover Wipes may Help Barrier Removal
• Use Warm Water and Soft Cloth to Remove Remaining Paste
• Not all Paste Needs to Be Removed, Don't Risk Unnecessary Skin Irritation
