The optical thermometer's high sensitivity allows it to be used orally, rectally, or under the arm.

The LCD digital monitor on the Mabis 60-Second Digital Thermometer for Oral, Rectal, and Underarm use allows for simple visual markings. When it has achieved the maximum temperature, the backlit monitor will clearly display the temperature. A special warning will sound if the thermometer hits temperatures above 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit, alerting you to the unusually high temperature. A standard audible signal will sound after the maximum temperature has been taken on the 60-second thermometer.

The ability to save and remember previous temperature measurements is a fantastic feature. This helps you to track improvement to see if the fever is getting better or deteriorating.
